About

I’ve always loved writing. That’s why I majored in English at university, completed a journalism certificate, and became an English teacher. Early in my teaching career, I also began working as a freelance writer. In 2010, I decided to pursue writing full-time.

I started by creating and editing textbooks for a post-secondary institution. Then, I became the senior editor of a digital marketing courseware publishing company. I also had many smaller, freelance jobs that ranged from writing blog posts about people with disabilities for the Rick Hansen Foundation to writing hundreds of trivia questions for mobile phone games.

Today, I am a communications coordinator for Simon Fraser University’s English and political science departments.

My current job has allowed me to use my graphic design skills for more than four years. I’ve done digital and print work for SFU and have continued to expand my skills by taking workshops offered by the university.
